| Site Name | xpdbk (A name I squeezed out of my brain for ages when registering the domain. It stands for: Xiaopang’s Blog / 小胖的博客) |
| Original Intent | To share fun stuff and document my tinkering process. The core reason: I wanted to self-host and local-host my articles so they wouldn’t get deleted by big platforms. |

| Why Hugo? | I used Hexo/Vuepress early on but dropped them because they weren’t compatible with Windows 7. Hugo gets rid of the bloat of npm and doesn’t over-rely on the network/system, which felt absolutely amazing to use! As a beginner, I don’t have time to deal with security attacks and performance optimization on dynamic blogs. Static blogs are easy to manage and theme migration is a breeze. |
